Ashaninka is an agglutinative Amerindian agglutinative language with an estimated population of 52,2321 speakers. In the Peruvian Amazon, it is the largest in terms of population and occupies a large Peruvian territory (Junín, Cerro de Paseo, Ayacucho, Ucayali, Huánuco, Apurímac, Cusco). There are also Ashaninkas in Brazil, on the border with the Yurua, who are known as Kampas.
