Los autores Jaime Urrutia, María Isabel Remy y María Luisa Burneo en el libro Comunidades campesinas y nativas en el contexto neoliberal peruano, aterrizan parte de esta investigación en una lectura del Censo Nacional Agrario 2012 y las hojas complementarias donde hacen una análisis cuyo objetivo principal es mostrar las tendencias generales sobre diversos aspectos presentes en las comunidades campesinas y nativas y de esta manera dar cuenta de los problemas actuales a los que estas se enfrentan dentro del contexto neoliberal actual.
