Youth job training programs in response to youth unemployment

This article offers information on the training programs implemented by the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in response to the unemployment faced by young people with limited resources. For this purpose, the objective and scope of the job training programs implemented from the 1980s to the present, by different governments, as well as the changes in their processes. For the Peruvian case, a documentary analysis of the Youth Labor Training Program (PROJOVEN), program promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, the results of academic research by various authors, especially in operational processes, were addressed.
