Guillermo Martínez Parra es licenciado y magíster en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y doctor en Estudios Latinoamericanos por la misma universidad. En su reciente trabajo de investigación, Martínez Parra realiza una reflexión sobre la ética y la política desde el horizonte epistemológico, ontológico e histórico fenoménico y dialéctico. El libro realiza una fuerte crítica al liberalismo y al neoliberalismo, ya que son estas nuevas formas de dominación que sufre nuestra América. Este sistema neoliberal trae muchos problemas de desigualdad social, que, a su vez, generan distintos problemas sociales como corrupción, violencia, etc. En ese sentido, nuestra filosofía nace en el mismo contexto sin un nivel crítico, sino que carece de criticidad por su fuerte apego al sistema actual.
