Abstract

“Cusco, city of ritual performances” addresses ritual performance in Cusco, from a transdisciplinary perspective. Value the presence of ancestral rites and ceremonies, which, even present in the city, gain prominence in the field of performance. Revealing hybrid discourses in their structure, whether in the way of using the body as support, the use of space, among other resources for their creation. Making visible the strong presence of ancestral Andean rituality in contemporary art spaces in the city. The main objective of this article is to analyze the ways in which ancestral Andean rites acquire relevance in the field of performance as an aesthetic manifestation; Likewise, explore concepts of the Andean worldview and performativity. The ritual performance in a city like Cusco, preserves in its own territory and ancestral cosmogony the ability to dialogue through its connection with the men and women of this time.
