This article aims to present the redefinition of politics developed by the Algerian philosopher Jacques Rancière. This redefinition proposes that there is an organic relationship between politics and aesthetics. To justify the nature of this link, the philosopher establishes a scheme made up of three key concepts; namely, police, politics and distribution of the sensible. This document will seek to examine the dynamics of these three elements, to try to show that in the face of any regime or logic that seeks to naturalize, order and hierarchically classify the ways of perceiving, understanding and designing social life (police); there is an activity that interrupts these forms of experience to counteract that naturalization with the aim of re-imagining another possible space (politics). Thus, what is put into play in all political tension is a perceptive or aesthetic fabric (distribution of the sensible) that determines our way of acting in the world.
