This article discusses the limits and possible transformations of Michel Foucault´s panoptic power, through Michel de Certeau’s critical interpretation of it. Placing emphasis on the Panopticon´s action of subjection of images and social practices in the neoliberal multicultural space, a liberating effect is proposed from the interpretation of its techniques of surveillance and control not as absolutely armored and regular, but as pierced and discontinuous due to the actions of subjects and their communities.
