Inteligencia artificial en publicaciones científicas. Ética e integridad ante un desafío emergente

La aparición de la inteligencia artificial (IA) constituye un enorme desafío para la edición de las publicaciones científicas. Diversas herramientas de IA se han utilizado en redacción y comunicación académica en años recientes. Autores y editores las utilizan para optimizar la gramática, ortografía y la detección de plagio, como es el caso de Grammarly©, ProWritingAid©, Hemingway Editor©, Turnitin©, entre otros (1). Sin embargo, con el creciente desarrollo y aplicación de la IA en el panorama actual, incluyendo la investigación y su producto final, la publicación científica, se plantea la preocupación en torno a la posibilidad de reemplazar la cognición humana para estos fines (2).
