Abstract

This article examines the training of health professionals (THP) from a standpoint of the health economy. In order to do that, the structure is composed of three parts: First, it covers some characteristics of the theoretic perfect market, and it compares the application of these characteristics to the specific case of THP. The second part examines some aspects of the current supply and demand of THP in Peru. Finally, third part examines the costs of training.
