The objective of the research was to analyze the impacts generated by particulate matter on air and soil pollution in the marine-coastal wetland of Callao-Peru, period 2020-2021, as well as to predict its future situation. Regarding its methodology, it was developed under a quantitative, observational and non-experimental approach with research protocols in accordance with the provisions of the regulations of the Ministry of the Environment of Peru, the Canadian Soil Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Environmental and Human Health and the World Health Organization air quality guidelines.
Through statistical tests such as Wilcoxon Signed Rank, Kruskall Wallis H and Delphi method with Beta average and standard deviation, it was demonstrated that PM2.5 particulate matter significantly impacts the air quality of the wetland. The quality of the soil is also affected by particulate matter in its compositions: mercury, arsenic and lead. Experts agree that this negative behavior towards the wetland will continue.
