Abstract

Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, as well as the towns of Ollantaytambo, Urubamba, Yucay Guayllabamba and present a great problem for the disposal of solid waste they generate. These wastes create foci of infection by improper treatment, polluting the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the Urubamba River and elsewhere. Reason, a handbook is designed Landfill area Yuncacha Huayco in Urubamba district, for which the Geological-Geotechnical Study, which address the issues of geomorphology, stratigraphy, economic geology, soil appears, subsoil, foundation conditions, slope stability analysis, seismic design and others.
