Ethics in Publications

The Revista del Instituto de investigación de la Facultad de minas, metalurgia y ciencias geográficas assumes and promotes good editorial ethics practices, giving guidelines for conflicts of interest, ethical commitment and plagiarism detection.

Anti Plagiarism Policy

To verify the detection of plagiarism and/or falsifications, the journal rigorously evaluates and submits articles to anti-plagiarism software (Turnitin). Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and the articles will not be published, in the case of detection of plagiarism or other malpractice; After publication, the retraction will be made as the case may be, in accordance with the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) [www.publicationethics.org]

The editor in charge detects a higher percentage than what is allowed by the journal, and will request the author to reduce the similarity within a prudent period to continue with his editorial process. In the event that there is no response from the author, the conclusion of his investigation process, whose percentage of similarity allowed by the journal established by the Directive of originality and similarity of academic works, research and intellectual production of the National University of San Marcos.

Conflict of Interests

The parties that are part of the editorial process such as authors, reviewers and editors must make known the conflicts that may influence their presentation, review or approval of the manuscript objectively to the journal.

In the face of any controversy, the journal undertakes to settle through its editorial committee, in charge of resolving conflicts of misconduct in research following the guidelines of (COPE) if applicable. If it is possible to identify the conflict, it will be evaluated to take the necessary measures for its publication or not of the article.

Retraction Policy

  • Retraction of published articles
    The journal will notify the author of the retraction of the published article when plagiarism, fraud or misconduct by the author is confirmed within the investigations by the editorial committee and it will proceed according to the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics, which could terminate its publication. retraction.
