The purpose of this paper is to analyze the metaphorical expressions found in the Ayacucho Quechua collection of poems Machimina (2007), by José Antonio Sulca, whose theme is erotic. For this purpose, the theory of conceptual integration, proposed by Fauconnier and Turner (2002), is used, following the guidelines of cognitive semantics. Thus, the conclusion is that, in the study corpus, these metaphorical expressions mostly refer to sexual arousal, male and female genital organs, as well as the prototypical qualities of Andean women in the sexual sphere.
