This paper analyzes the paratextual differences (cover, preface, panegyric poems) of El Marañón by Diego de Aguilar y de Córdoba in two existing manuscripts, at the University of Oviedo and at the British Museum; in order to determine its literary nature and its contextualization in the initial Renaissance of Peru. Diego Aguilar was one of the famous poets of the Antártica Academy. Besides, Miguel de Cervantes, in La Galatea, considered him as one of the best American poets of his time.Downloads
