This work is a basic record of Quechua words present in the novel País de Jauja by the Peruvian writer Edgardo Rivera Martínez, published in 1993. The plot plays out in the city of Jauja (his birthplace) in the 1940s. It is about how city life goes by in a well-known tuberculosis sanatorium. There is movement and exchange between the town and country. It is a rural country environment, which explains the use of Quechua words. Nowadays this language is virtually extinct in Jauja.Downloads
