El Perú Ilustrado. Semanario para las familias [Weekly newspaper for families], published in Lima between 1887 and 1892, is characterized by the excess of images both on its cover and inside pages. This article aims at showing the role that El Perú Ilustrado played in the promotion of the heroes of the Pacific War, as well as to assess its contribution to the recovery of the memory of the fallen in the violent clashes.Downloads
