The theme of this research is the girl-woman and her manifestations, as ethical and aesthetical subject, respectively, in three films of Luis Buñuel: El bruto (1952), La mort en ce jardin (1956) and The Young One (1960). Therefore, this essay is divided into two chapters, which in turn are internally separated by two subchapters, where our central figure is described and evaluated considering mainly both aspects, ethical and aesthetical, in a delimited way, within the framework of its historical and social evolution. Based on our work, we conclude that the Buñuelian young girl is highly significant, as she is useful for the filmmaker to make a social commentary whose criticism does not hesitate to include himself, and is a characteristic and obsessive leitmotiv. This formal reworking pervades all of his work and furthermore, it impacts on those of other artists of international importance.Downloads
