Abstract

Our approach to contemporary poetry deals with the relationship between the sense of history and that of Quechua poetic production. Contemporary Quechua poetry is understood to be that which takes over writing and gains autonomy around 1955. I will make a test cut in the corpus of the past three decades: I will identify two poles of poetic development in it: Cuzco-Collao and Ayacucho-Chanka. I will check the collective perception and appearance of the Andean ego in the Quechua textuality. I will dwell on two poets: Dida Aguirre and Carlos Lopez Huaman.
