This article aims to show the syntactic behavior of words for the cardinal points in the Mochica language. The irregularities will highlight grammaticalizations stored in the lexicon, but with some restrictions that act by way of linguistic fossils. After morphophonological analysis, we conduct an etymological research, taking into account the spatial orientation system in Mochica.Downloads
