COMMENTS ON THE DICTIONARY OF THE SPANISH ROYAL ACADEMY, (DRAE), 23RD EDITION

For purposes of this article we present a sample of what we have reviewed in the Dictionary of the Spanish language of the Spanish Royal Academy (DRAE), 23rd Edition 2014 in order to identify words of Peruvian Spanish use, some coming from Spanish of general interest and use in Peru and others from native origin (Aymara, Quechua and Puquina), for analysis and observation purposes. Regarding the elements from Peruvian native languages, we consider the following: a) lemma; b) lexical entry; c) etymon; d) phonemic transcription; e) glosses; f) mark of level of use; g) diatopical mark; h) meaning; j) proposal for inclusion of artículo léxico (lexical item) or acepción (definition) in the DRAE.
