This essay deals with the discourse and ideology that are present in the “corpus”, whether written or oral, on the threats on and defenses of the vitality of the Aymara language, a situation shared by other Peruvian indigenous languages, which includes a proscription and intolerance — opposed to prescription and tolerance— that we have witnessed for 539 years since the arrival of the European invaders. For the analysis we resort to the use of polysemic nomenclatures, synonyms and word families on terms such as “conquest”, “european”, “indigenous” and the norms and language of both, rights, biodiversity and ecology. As Aymara speakers, we are able to explicit the knowledge of which the Aymara language is a vehicle and we can identify the practices of discourse on the way of multiculturalism will lead to tolerance, respect, dialogue and development, which are related to the four pillars of education: learning to do, learning to know, learning to live together and learning to be (Delors, 1996), because our country and America are entities full of diversity, collective and, moreover, they are neither homogeneous nor self-centered.
