The life of puppets, a fragmentary Bildungsroman

In this article, a discourse analysis will be carried out to demonstrate that the book of stories, La vida de las marionetas (2021), by the author Fiorella Moreno, is configured in the Bildungsroman genre. We will demonstrate that, linking each of the stories that make up the book, a learning novel originates. To do this, the Bildungsroman theory will be explained and applied and it will be determined if this fragmentary novel meets the specific characteristics of this genre. Likewise, and for the formal analysis of the discourse, we will use the hermeneutical categories studied by Carlos García Bedoya in his book Hermeneutica Literaria (2019).
