Mapuche literature represents, within the set of aesthetic productions of the native peoples of Latin America, one of those that has received the most attention in recent times. Its position in the construction of the Chilean nationality, its communicative scheme or its value as a representation of a cultural system whose origins predate the arrival of the Spaniards have been studied from various perspectives. Due to its complex history, the reading of the literary production of this native people has privileged the contextual elements in its study. For this reason, the purpose of this paper is to observe the aesthetic particularity of its literary system, that is, to recognize Mapuche poetics through the reading and analysis of the works, since we consider this reading necessary to understand more fully the specificity of the Mapuche worldview, whose forms of aesthetic representation are a constitutive part of this literature.
