The power of the collective: voices of the Gran Chaco. A reading of Gritos de las madres del monte

This work focuses on the testimonial oral accounts taken to writing through a complex mediation process in Gritos de las madres del monte (2020). This text of collective authorship was elaborated in the Ethnic Memory Workshop, in the city of Tartagal, Salta, Argentina, by a multi-ethnic group of women. In the stories, enunciative strategies are intertwined that display a particular configuration of voices in relation to historically inhabited territories. In a dynamic way, they superimpose individual and collective memories, experiences and knowledge. The fabric of times, historical rhythms and experiences updates the memory and, in its story, a territory that shelters individual and community spiritual experiences with other existing ones is discursive. To address these aspects, the study of the voice, from the ideas of Raúl Dorra (1997), the notion of the collective subject of Ailton Krenak (2018) and the heterogeneous subject of Cornejo Polar (2003) guide the analysis.
