This article analyzes the relationships between formal experimentalism and the literary representation of the hallucinogenic effects of ayahuasca in Las tres mitades de Ino Moxo y otros brujos de la Amazonía by César Calvo. In this sense, we will emphasize the treatment of two fundamental raw materials for the purposes of extractivist practices in the Amazon, but which are resignified in Calvo's work. Ayahuasca works as a constructive principle of a visionary logic capable of deconfiguring the historical approach to events linked to the exploitation of rubber and, at the same time, a key element in a critique of the knowledge and practices of Western medicine. The figure of the healer works in this sense as a place of disruptive enunciation ―and at the same time vindictive― of the Amazonian culture.
