Abstract

The theoretical model that represents the social innovation process presented by Cajaiba-Santana integrates the structuring and institutionalist theories as worked by Bacq & Janssen. However, this model leaves out some constructions worked on by the important original authors without specifying the reasons. This research reinforces the model based on an ontological construction and some specifications in the interaction between the merged theories that may facilitate future scientific research.
