This paper aims to analyze the caricatures of Jorge Vinatea Reinoso in the Mundial magazine and link them with the caricatural drawing of other Peruvian referents in the first decades of the 20th century. Specifically, we compare the caricatures of President Augusto B. Leguía made by Abraham Valdelomar, Julio Málaga Grenet and Jorge Vinatea Reinoso. In this way, we propose an approach to caricature as a type of artistic production that not only served young artists to be involved in illustrated magazines, but also it generated networks among Peruvian cartoonists with their own dialogues and tensions.
