Soy mujer nomatsigenga. Me expreso siempre en nomatsigenga. De ella me gustan las palabras que tienen sonidos, que se repiten como en sogoro, que significa lagartija; sigiri, “variedad de gavilán”; paraba, “variedad de ave”. También me encanta las canciones dedicadas a seres sagrados y el inicio del tatareo “jiyajiya, jiyajaje, jiiijiyajaje”. También las canciones infantiles creadas por mi “naanti janegi katerii, nakiborota chapoo, chapoo, nabibiro narai, sheik, sheik, bakibiro nobago chok, chok”, que significa “soy un niño limpio”. Los diseños en el rostro me hacen sentir que soy una mujer hermosa nomatsigenga. En el bosque, me enamoran los colores de los pajaritos como tsibitoki, pajaritos de siete colores, el mirar de los tucanes, el vuelo de los loritos y el águila, que hacen que cada día pueda seguir adelante en la vida. El olor y sabrosura de las frutas silvestres, como el itsiki, konpëgi, ese sabor agridulce endulza mi corazón. Kanirian, mi hija, lleva el nombre de la madre yuca que nos alimenta cada día y pedimos que no nos abandone nunca. Cada día practicamos la oración a tosorintsi (dios) para que nos siga permitiendo estar juntas cultivando la cultura nomatsigenga.
