Abstract

The studies on the evangelization in the Peru have generally been focused from the ecclesiastic institucionalidad’s perspective and the intention religious. You have rendered to the relation between evangelization and the economic policies of the epoch little atten-tion decreasing the historic fact simply to a factor structural supra. With the present investigation we demonstrated than the State virreinal that he had concretes cost-reducing interests, he used the indulgences to sell them and to contribute with the expansion of the colonial market keeping two objectives with it: First perceiving bigger fiscal profitability and second backing up the Church and contributing with the process of evangelization.
