Abstract

This article is part study on a relatively unexplored subject in Peruvian archaeology: the archaeology and the political violence of the twentieth century in Peru. Focusing in two lines of research. The first addresses the field of archaeology during dictatorships, and, the second, the archaeology of dictatorships. The paper presents some theoretical and methodological guidelines, and a general overview of the topic in order to emphasize the need and importance of studying political violence in Peru from archaeology.
