El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación fue obtener el decaimiento exponencial uniforme de la energía para la ecuación de onda semilineal con disipación localizada, dada por,
utt − ∆u + α(x)u + f(u) + a(x)ut = 0 en Rn × (0, +∞).
Para lograr el objetivo del presente trabajo empleamos el principio de continuación única, estudiado por Ruiz [7] y las ideas expuestas por E. Zuazua [8].
