Are aligners an orthodontic technique or just another orthodontic treatment tool?

Edward Hartley Angle después de muchos ajustes y correcciones creó en 1928 un sistema básico ortodóncico llamado técnica de arco de canto (Edgewise) con brackets y alambres, cuyas aleaciones han ido evolucionando hasta la actualidad. Distintas filosofías y técnicas en ortodoncia como la Bioprogresiva, MBT, Técnica Segmentada, MEAW, Roth, etc; han ido complementando los procedimientos clínicos para conseguir objetivos definidos. Y es que las maloclusiones tienen distintos niveles de complejidad en su tratamiento, por tanto es necesario complementar todas las herramientas ortodóncicas posibles hasta obtener una oclusión fisiológica.
