En la presente exposición cuestiono, como investigador, sobre la pertinencia de la investigación en ciencias empíricas enmarcándola en el paradigma ético del desarrollo sostenible. No se trata de desvincular la ciencia de éste paradigma ético, sino de determinar mejor en qué puede estribar su aporte. Al leer la Carta del Medio Ambiente que se promulgó en Francia el 2005, se ha reforzado en mí el sentimiento de que la investigación, entendida como proceso de validación del conocimiento, permanece al margen del desarrollo sostenible. En su artículo 9, el único que considera el ámbito científico, la carta dispone llanamente: «la investigación y la innovación deben aportar su concurso para la preservación y la valoración del medio ambiente». Por otro lado, he tenido el mismo sentimiento al leer la obra Éthique et développement durable (Ética y desarrollo sostenible) que acaban de publicar Yvan Droz y Jean-Claude Lavigne (2006).Downloads
