Como caracteriza, Francis Fukuyama, el teórico de la economía de mercado triunfante: la evolución ideológica de la humanidad habría llegado a su punto final y, siendo el mode lo capitalista y la democracia liberal occidental la última y definitiva alternativa que le quedaba al mundo. En efecto, por un lado, la modernidad y democracia vienen a ser binomios inseparables y, por otro lado, la integración regional cono mecanismo para acelerar el desarrollo económico comercial de los países en desarrollo en mercados internos, que permitiría a estos integrarse con competitividad en la actual globalización de la economía y el comercio mundial.Downloads
