Alejandro Salinas Sánchez, La época del “pan grande” Billinghurst presidente 1912-1914

El historiador económico e investigador del Instituto Seminario de Historia Rural Andina Alejandro Salinas Sánchez nos presenta el que quizás sea el mejor trabajo histórico sobre el gobierno de Guillermo E. Billinghurst hasta la fecha. La época del “pan grande” Billinghurst presidente 1912-1914 tiene el gran mérito de hacer un recorrido histórico, político y periodístico sobre la llegada al poder y posterior caída de dicho mandatario. El período gubernativo de Billinghurst no ha sido lo suficientemente estudiado pese a que se le reconoce como importante en el desarrollo político de nuestro país. Entre otras cosas, por el ser un punto de quiebre del poder civilista de la oligarquía, ser un despertar de la movilización social organizada, y constituir el “primer proyecto populista” no solo del país sino de la región.Downloads
