The surfaces of various rock formations in the Marañón and Utcubamba river basins contain different expressions of rock art from different periods. In this article, we present our appreciations about the cave paintings attributed to hunter-gatherers that inhabited the area, for which we refer to their style, antiquity and artistic composition (elements and scenes represented), taking into account the work carried out in this regard by different researchers.
