El presente texto es el producto del Primer Simposio de Lima Norte que se realizó el 10 de agosto del 2018 en el distrito de Los Olivos, en el cual el autor de la presente reseña también tuvo la oportunidad de asistir. Antes de tocar individualmente los escritos que conforman este libro, vale señalar los motivos del editor para realizar el esfuerzo, no sólo de organizar un evento cultural presencial (con la colaboración de la Municipalidad de Los Olivos y la UCSS), sino además publicar lo expuesto aquel día, hecho que ya no es tan frecuente respecto a otros eventos académicos sobre zonas o temas específicos.
