El etnocacerismo, movimiento político aparecido a fines de los años ochenta, pero con una notoria presencia en este nuevo milenio, ha sido objeto de mucho interés para la prensa y algunos científicos sociales. Fundado por el exoficial EP, Antauro Humala, en la actualidad, no ha descartado su candidatura a la Presidencia de la República en las próximas elecciones generales. Con un discurso radical, pretende establecer en el Perú la fundación de una nueva república dirigida por la denominada «etnia cobriza».
