Los estudios realizados en los últimos veinte años en el Perú sobre el gobierno de Alberto Fujimori reflejan un patrón perceptible a simple vista: la multidimensionalidad. Es decir, un fenómeno no solo político, sino económico, social y cultural, afín a un sinnúmero de aspectos, emergidos en el decenio fujimorista. En esa línea se inserta el trabajo de José Ragas con su libro Los años de Fujimori (1990-2000), publicado en el año 2022 por el Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, bajo la colección de Historia Mínimas Republicanas. Como se advierte, el libro responde al quehacer de historia mínima, caracterizada por ser de fácil lectura, bajo un formato asequible al lector, pero, sin el descuido de la narrativa histórica propia de la profesión.
