The effect of the different physical consistency of the foods on the calcification jaws of rats during the growth was studied Fifteen Holtzman rats were used; there were three groups and they were feeded during six weeks with balanced food of hard, soft and mixed physical consistency. Rats were sacrificed lo getting the wrigth mandibular bone. The effect on the calcification of mandibular bone was observed in the calcium contents determined by atomic absortion spectrometry test. Statistical analysis have demostred that calciunt contents in the mandibular bone rats feeded with hard diet is higher than mandibular bone rats Jeeded with soft and mixed diet; and that calcium contents in the mandibular bone rats feeded mixed diet is higher than rats Jeeded with soft diet.Downloads
