El Instituto Seminario de Historia Rural Andina (ISHRA) es una de las instituciones de investigación más emblemáticas de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. En sus más de cinco décadas, sus publicaciones han impactado en la forma en la que conocemos las ciencias sociales en el Perú. Su fundador, el historiador Pablo Macera, tuvo una importante visión sobre la naturaleza y el desarrollo de las ciencias sociales, y su impulso nos ha dejado un legado muy importante y un derrotero a seguir. Por tanto, en este nuevo número de ISHRA: Revista del Instituto Seminario de Historia Rural Andina queremos rendir un homenaje a la figura y el trabajo del Doctor Macera.
