This special issue compiles more than five decades of research on the biology, ecology and fishery of Jack Mackerel Trachurus murphy in the Peruvian sea and were made by scientists of the Instituto del Mar del Peru (IMARPE). Papers were selected and edited by Jorge Csirke, Renato Guevara-Carrasco and Marco Espino.
