Según opinión muy difundida, tanto en el Perú como en el extranjero, las antiguas civilizaciones peruanas no habrían alcanzado la invención de las escritura. El presente artículo sostiene una tesis opuesta y afirma que los sistemas peruanos de escritura son los más antiguos del continente americano. El análisis del material arqueológico, las citas de los cronistas de los siglos XVI y XVII y ciertas palabras de los vocabularios quechuas antiguos, apoyan esta tesis.Downloads
