Archiving

• The contents of Quipukamayoc are storaged on external hard drives on servers of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, that update its content every six months.
• Quipukamayoc uses the OJS, which provides the PKP PN (PKP-Preservation Network) tool that allows its contents to be preserved using LOCKSS, which offers a decentralized preservation system distributed among the participating libraries and allows the creation of the journal’s permanent archives for conservation and restoration purposes, perpetual access without interruptions. The PKP PN ensures that journals that are not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access.
• All Quipukamayoc articles are deposited in the Institutional Repository (institutional preservation).
• Likewise, all Quipukamayoc articles and their metadata are deposited in the ALICIA National Repository.
