The integration of entrepreneurship into university curricula is essential to prepare students and future professionals for the challenges of a constantly evolving world. This research examines recent advances and emerging practices in this field through a systematic literature review of 32 papers, indexed at Scopus, the PRISMA flowchart, and scientometric analysis to identify the most relevant trends. The results reveal a sustained growth in research on this topic, particularly in the areas of social sciences, engineering, and business, with notable academic participation from the United States. Additionally, the importance of combining theoretical and practical knowledge in entrepreneurial education is emphasized, advocating for an interdisciplinary, interactive, and personalized approach that adapts to students’ needs. The study suggests implementing collaborative initiatives between universities and other institutions to strengthen the integration of entrepreneurship into higher education. Furthermore, it is crucial to rigorously evaluate the impact of these practices to ensure the achievement of educational objectives. For future research, it is recommended to conduct longitudinal analyses that address the challenges involved and examine the relationship between this integration of these factors, student initiatives, and sustainable development.
