Con justificada razón se ha dicho que la inversión privada es el motor del crecimiento económico. A mayor inversión privada, más generación de empleo directa e indirectamente a través de su efecto positivo sobre el crecimiento económico. Estudios al respecto realizados por el Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, en julio de 20051, muestran que si nuestro país mantuviera un crecimiento constante del 5.5% anual del PBI para los próximos 15 años, la población nacional estaría adecuadamente ocupada. ¿Qué debilidades y amenazas se ciernen sobre nuestra economía? ¿Qué hacer para convertirnos en la vitrina de los inversionistas del mundo? En las líneas que siguen procuraremos dar respuesta a estas inquietudes.
