Abstract

Objective: Analyze the evolution and bibliometric trends of scientific production on agricultural public policies and associativity in the global context and in Latin America between 1981 and 2023. Methods: A qualitative approach employing an analytical-synthetic method was used, based on the review of 479 documents extracted from Scopus. Tools such as Bibliometrix and VOSviewer were utilized for bibliometric analysis and trend visualization. Results: Since 1999, scientific production has grown significantly, with a notable increase since 2019. Brazil, the United States, and Spain stand out as the leading producing countries. In developed countries, research focuses on technological innovation and international cooperation, while in Latin America, issues of trust and local cooperation— essential for the adoption of inclusive technologies and policies — are prioritized. The study highlights the need for approaches tailored to the specific sociocultural contexts of each region. Conclusion: The findings suggest that agricultural public policies must be adapted to local dynamics, emphasizing trust and cooperation in Latin America, in contrast to the focus on technological innovation in developed countries. This provides a novel perspective by underscoring the importance of considering cultural characteristics in the formulation of effective agricultural policies.
