About the Journal
ISHRA, Revista del Instituto Seminario de Historia Rural Andina is a research journal aimed at a specialized audience in the social sciences and humanities that is published biannually by the Instituto Seminario de Historia Rural Andina (ISHRA) of the Facultad de Ciencias Sociales of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Following the multidisciplinary work of the ISHRA, since it was founded in 1966 by historian Pablo Macera (1929-2020), the journal publishes original articles based on primary research, unpublished essays and other works of free subject matter, which represent a contribution to the understanding of Peru and Latin America in the fields of social sciences and humanities from a historical perspective.
