Dear readers of Lengua y Sociedad:

We would like to communicate that the journal has achieved a position in the 2nd quartile (Q2) of the SCImago ranking. SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) is a platform that shows bibliometric indicators that evaluate and analyze the impact of scientific journals and the scientific production of countries, based on information from the Scopus database. In this way, Lengua y Sociedad consolidates its position as a reference journal in the field of Linguistics. 

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Vice-Vicerrectorado de Investigación y Posgrado ( (VRIP) of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) for its constant institutional support. Their support, through the provision of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, has been fundamental to optimize editorial processes and strengthen the visibility of our journal. We also value their contribution in the layout of the papers, which guarantees a quality presentation. We also extend our appreciation to the associate editors, the editorial board and the scientific committee, whose dedication and academic rigor have been essential to maintain the high standards of our journal.

Likewise, we deeply appreciate the work of the peer reviewers and proofreaders, whose meticulous work has contributed to improve each published manuscript. Special thanks also go to the authors who have relied on our journal as a means of disseminating their research, which has enriched the academic dialogue in the field of linguistics and related disciplines.

Finally, we recognize that this achievement would not be possible without the support of the Instituto de Investigaciones de Lingüística Aplicada (CILA), the Vicedecanato de Investigación y Posgrado of the Facultad de Letras y Ciencias Humanas, and the invaluable collaboration of teachers and students, whose commitment has been essential for the continued growth of the journal.
